Corning unveiled its latest high-damage resistant Gorilla Glass 2 at CES in Las Vegas. The Gorilla Glass 2 is up to 20 percent thinner, enabling slimmer devices, better touch responsiveness, and brighter images without sacrificing the damage resistance consumers demand. Corning researchers said that the thinner glass would help electronics makers to increase battery size or install additional storage capacity in smartphones.
Gorilla Glass 2 improves on its predecessor by increasing the amount of compression created by the ion exchange and making the protective layer deeper. The complete product information can be downloaded from here
