CCleaner is a freeware system optimization, privacy and cleaning tool by Piriform. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. Additionally it contains a fully featured registry cleaner.
A Public Version for the Mac OS X has also been released along with a Network Edition. The latest Version of CCleaner is 3.14.1616 with minor fixes and improvements.
It comes in three editions- free, home and Business Editions. CNET has given a rating of 5/5 stars. It has been awarded for April 2009 CNET Editor's choice Award.
